We've sorted through the about 3,000 images we took this afternoon between Ross and myself and here are a few of the better ones. The gym was very dark and very challenging to photograph effectively in, so many of the images are pretty grainy but fortunately, not all.

World Champs Training - Wellington
My photographer friend Ross came with me to the training tonight and between us we took over 3,000 shots so it will take a few hours to sort through them and get a selection up for you to check out. Mean time here's one of the team after we took an "official" photo.
We're out to dinner shortly with the team, will work on sorting photos when I get back.
Cheers for now.

Pick of the Pix Series, Odd Shotz #2

Specs: 1/60s, 50.0mm, f/4.0, ISO: 400, Flash
Trotter playing-up at the last training before the 2006 Junior World Champs.
[11/07] I remember more about this image now... the team were training in a hotel room in Hunduras prior to the tournament. It was a really dark room and I had to use flash and was getting a few nice high-contrast shots of the team members in action. A comment was made how camera shy Alisa was so Mark grabbed her and we took her picture. This was the result ;-)
And some more. Steve has a way with the piece sign and camera!

Pick of the Pix Series, Help for Honduras

Lens: 38mm, 1/200s, f/8.0, ISO: 400, flash
This photo was taken high on a hill above the capital city of Honduras, named Tegucigalpa prior to the 2006 Junior World Champs.
Given the political upheaval going on in Honduras at the moment, I thought maybe they could do with a hand from these three tough Kiwis.
From the left: Daniel Jackson (Assistant Coach), Dave Ballard (Coach) and Mark Trotter (Assistant Coach).

Pick of the Pix Series, Odd Shotz #1

Specs: 1 silly person, 1/60s, 70.0mm, f/4.6, ISO: 1250
It's Stuart Maden, always full of energy, fun and a little silliness :-)
I've recently been right through all my TKD images categorising some of the better ones by topic to give me something to share with you. During the process I found a few "silly" fun portraits and thought I'd share them with you.
To capture these portrait images you need to be on the lookout constantly, act fast and a bit of silliness helps...
More coming tomorrow...
